FMI Medical Systems is developing an ultra-high resolution multimodality imaging technology using fused 3D molecular and anatomic imaging, radioisotopes, X-ray micro CT, and optical surface imaging. Initial applications include a breast imaging system to detect the presence of cancer and functional neurological imaging for early Alzheimer’s detection.
