Cleveland Heart

Cleveland Heart is a partnership between the Cleveland Clinic and TransWorld Medical Devices. The company is developing the SMARTHEART© VAD, which is the only continuous flow VAD that automatically adjusts pumping flow for the patient based on activity levels and physical requirements. The design incorporates a completely suspended rotating element for limitless mechanical lifespan, and also allows for remote monitoring capability.
