Checkpoint Surgical, a Cleveland-based medical device company, raised $1.1 million of a Series A investment from NDI Medical, JumpStart Ventures, and angel investors. The company will use the funds to launch sales of its hand-held, nerve stimulator and locator device for surgeons. Checkpoint is a spinout of NDI Medical, a neurostimulation device incubator.
