Thermedx is developing next generation products for improved patient temperature management. The initial product launched will provide instantaneous and ongoing warming of irrigation fluids that are used in close to 30 million surgeries per year in the U.S. Warming patient fluids during surgery helps prevent hypothermia, thereby improving patient outcomes and reducing hospital costs. Additional iterations of the technology are planned for warming blood and I.V. fluids.
