Fluence Therapeutics Inc. is a spinoff of University Hospitals Case Medical Center which is commercializing photodynamic therapy (PDT) for the treatment of psoriasis and other skin diseases. Researchers at University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University have over many years developed, patented and conducted animal and human testing of Pc 4, a novel photosensitizer. PDT is a combined product which uses light from a proprietary device to activate the photosensitizer which destroys selected cells and tissues.
